Airport screening

In the article “Administration to Seek Balance in Airport Screening” by Scott Shane, Shane states that the Obama administration is trying to find a balance between having too much security or not having enough security to keep the passengers safe. Officials say the security measures which were put in place at airports are justified by the possible outcomes of not having the security such as terrorist bombings and so on. Shane states that when the outbreak of the public's anger started (November,1) the passengers had complains about the more insensitive pat-downs  the agency officials pointed to opinion surveys which showed that 80% of the people supported the extra security. Shane also states that two specialist on the topic Mr.James Carafano and Mr.Bruce Hoffman suggest the Obama administration should review their screening procedures and limiting their security screening to people who actually look like the may pose a threat instead of adding more security layers that more people will have a problem with.
